This is my spooky trees painting. The art elements in it are line, value, shape, space, color, and texture. The design elements in it are contrast, movement, pattern, emphasis, proportion, and unity. The intent of the project is to show a Disney scene of trees. They were supposed to be scary trees but I added a little happy vibe to them. I also used some skills including stippling, and shading. I am overall very happy with this painting. One of my favorites.

I am hoping to get a better grade on this version of my independent project because I worked harder on it and I now have a background, and have a source of light changing the color and shade of my apples, as well as my shadows going in one fluid direction. This is my dreamtime project. The art elements in it are line, value, shape, space, and color. The design elements are contrast, movement, and proportion/scale. The intent of the picture was to paint a place or event in time when you felt emotions. When I was in summer camp at Malibu, Canada, we were given 10 minutes of complete silence where you could pick anywhere you want and just close your eyes and think. All the beauty and nature around me helped me connect with God and myself and it was a big time in my life for me. The media was acrylic paint, pencil, water, a paint brush, and paper. This is my independent art project. I did it on my original apples drawing but this time I had more knowledge on art and technique. Some art elements used in this are line, value, shape, color, and texture. The design elements used in this are scale, emphasis, and pattern. The intent of the drawing was to imitate an old piece of artwork but with new skills that we have learned since then. The media was paper, pencil, and colored pencil. This is my final matte block print. The art elements used in this were line, value, shape, and color. The design elements used in this were pattern, movement, and proportion. The media used in this was the block print carved with a razor blade onto the linoleum rubber block. The intent was to take a picture of a flower or some close up subject of nature and carve it into a rubber block and then print it with ink onto a piece of paper. |
