This is my choice project. It is 6 inches tall by 4 inches wide and is glazed with forest green and cobalt blue. When it went to get fired another project fell on it and cracked the side so I sanded down the other side to match and ended up creating something that I like even more. A skill I learned from this is how to sand down dry clay to get an intended shape or design. This project shows color because of the vibrant glaze colors which leads to contrast because the light and dark shades bounce off and reflect off one another. Overall, this project has a mysterious feel to it because it has an unknown purpose and looks different depending on which way you turn it.

This is my second theme project. It is 4.5 inches tall by 2 inches wide and is glazed with forest green and cobalt blue. This project taught me how to foot something that has a lip. I had to make sure it wasn't too wet or too dry or else the lip would crack and the project would fall apart. This project shows color like the last one because of the blue lines on green base which shows contrast because of the blue reflecting off the green and standing out. Like the last vase, the theme of this is waterfall because the blue glaze falls down the side of the project the way water falls off a ledge creating a waterfall. This project makes me proud because I was glad I could replicate the last vase and make them look similar. This is my theme project. It is 5 inches tall by 2 inches wide and is glazed with forest green and cobalt blue. I made it by creating a tall cylinder and then pinching the top to make a lip for the vase. Something I learned from this project is how to make a triangle with my hands so that the lip of the vase doesn't get too thin and break off. This project shows color because of the blue reflecting off the green which leads to contrast because the lines bounce off the base color and stand out. My theme here is "waterfall" which both of my projects represent because of the blue glaze falling down the project. This project makes me happy because I have always had a hard time with vases but I successfully pulled this off.
This is my set of three project. They are all made in seamix clay and range from 3-5 inches in height. I glazed them all in cobalt blue and then dripped black over that. This project taught me replication because I had to glaze all three projects the same way. This project shows color because of the opaque blue used and how bright all three pieces look which leads to balance because the three projects even each other out. There is a cup, a bowl, and a vase which are all things I can use in my house. The vase can go on the table and hold flowers, and the cup and bowl can be used for eating and drinking meals. Overall, this project makes me feel satisfied because the three pieces all look the same and there aren't any rough spots on them.
